Bristol’s equalities groups (BEING) are hosting two consultation meetings. All are welcome. There are 6 equality forums in BEING (LGBT Bristol, Bristol Women’s Voice, BME Voice Bristol, Bristol Disability Equality Forum, Bristol Multi-Faith Forum and Bristol Older People’s Forum).
In December 2016 five members of BEING (Bristol Equalities Influence and Networking Group), found they had all been unsuccessful in their applications for core funding from Bristol City Council. The Council has decided to commission a Voice and Influence Service to cover the protected characteristics represented by these groups and we are supporting them in holding two consultation events to discuss the proposed Bristol Council Voice and Influence Commissioning Plan Consultation. At these events we will also be consulting on the Your Neighbourhood, Your Support, Your Say Consultation.
An accessible daytime event with BSL signers: Thursday 10 August 2017 at the Broadmead Baptist Church on the 1ST floor Union Street (behind Tesco Express) from 10.30am to 1pm Hosted by Bristol Older People’s Forum
An accessible evening event : Wednesday 16 August at the Unitarian Chapel in Brunswick Square from 6pm to 9pm (meeting starts at 6.15pm) and light refreshments will be available Hosted by LGBT Bristol
