  • AGM and Conference 2015

    Bristol Multi-Faith Forum AGM and Conference was held on 10th November between 3pm and 6pm in the main hall at the Barton Hill Settlement, 43 Ducie Rd, Barton Hill, Bristol, BS5 0AX. The short AGM was followed by our conference on the theme of City of Sanctuary. We also invited new members to join our Management Committee. About 30 people attended and took part in the discussions. A report and photos of the event will follow shortly.

  • Forum Open Meeting ‘Green Capital’

    Our last Bristol Multi-Faith Forum Open Meeting was held on Tuesday 20 October, at St Werburghs Community Centre, Horley Rd, Bristol, BS2 9TJ, from 6.30pm to 8.30pm. This was a free event, and open to all. We looked at different aspects of ‘Green Capital’, such as Food Poverty, Positive Money, Bristol Pound –  asking how faith communities can get involved and play a role. We will be publishing a report shortly, but for more information please contact Lily Khandker at info@bristolmultifaithforum.org.uk or call 07789 040267 (mobile).

  • Sunday 11 October – Health Awareness Day 2015

    This year’s Health Awareness Day will take place at the Malcolm X Centre, 141 City Road, Bristol, BS2 8YH, between 11am and 4pm. It is a free, fun, informative, interactive family event, which is open to all. Come and enjoy speakers, workshops,information stalls, children’s activities, henna,  face painting, fitness activities and food. There will be workshops on Child Sexual Exploitation, Mental Health and Blood and Organ Donation.

    Learn about Health and Wellbeing, find out how to access health services and discover more about preventative measures. The day will provide information on general health issues as well as those that particularly impact on BME Communities and all activities will respect diverse faiths and cultural sensitivities.
