Bristol Multi-Faith Forum (BMFF) is delighted to announce this year’s Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day, taking place on Sunday, 16th November 2025, as part of the UK Inter Faith Week.
This much-loved annual event celebrates the rich religious and cultural diversity of Bristol and the West of England region, giving people the opportunity to explore different places of worship, learn about one another’s traditions, and strengthen community understanding.
Over the last 18 years, Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day has become a cherished Bristol tradition. Faith communities across Bristol City and the West Country open their doors, welcoming visitors into sacred spaces — fostering dialogue, friendship, and appreciation among people of all backgrounds.
🚌 The Multi-Faith Trail
As part of the Bristol Diverse Doors Open Day, BMFF is organising a Multi-Faith Trail — a guided journey by bus, linking key places of worship across Bristol. Participants will have the chance to visit a Buddhist Shrine, Mosque, Greek Orthodox Church, Sikh Gurudwara, Jewish Synagogue, and Hindu Temple, experiencing the richness of faiths that contribute to Bristol’s shared community life.
Everyone is welcome to join the Multi-Faith Trail, a unique journey coordinated by the Bristol Multi-Faith Forum, in cooperation with the local faith communities and His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenancy.
Distinguished guests — including His Majesty’s Lord-Lieutenant, the Lord Mayor, Members of Parliament, councillors, civic dignitaries, community leaders, university students, and members of the wider community — will honour the occasion with their presence and are expected to join the day’s programme.

🕌 Visitor Guidance
Each venue will offer a short introduction to its faith and traditions, followed by a discussion and, in some cases, refreshments or cultural programmes.
Visitors are kindly asked to:
- Respect the customs and practices of each place of worship.
- Remove shoes or maintain silence where required.
- Dress modestly: long sleeves, long trousers or skirts, and a head covering (scarf recommended).
Although many worship places provide food and drinks, you can bring a packed lunch if you wish. Parking is generally on-street unless otherwise indicated. For accessibility details, please check directly with individual venues.

- Donation: £10 per person (subsidised to support transport and driver costs)
- Meeting point: Multi-Faith Centre, 43 Ducie Road, Barton Hill, BS5 0AX
- Departure: 9:15 am sharp (arrive by 9:00 am)
- Return: Approximately 5:00 pm
- Please note: The minibuses and some venues are not wheelchair accessible.
- Participants may also follow the Faith Trail in their own vehicles or visit venues independently.
